FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What does plant based mean?
Plant based means, eating mostly food from plants. That’s it. Not matter where you are on you health journey, the goal is to start eating better today. By making the foundation of your diet plant based, you are ensuring that you are getting fiber, protein and the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs to thrive. You are also, by default, eliminating processed, unhealthy and packaged foods. The bottom line is that no matter where you are at, you can start eating more veggies and fruit today!

Will I get full from a vegetarian meal?
This is a common question, and the answer is yes! People leave our classes beyond surprised at how satisfied they feel after a vegetarian meal. Not only that, but they feel good. Not stuffed, full or bloated – they feel satiated. That is what plant based foods do – they infuse the body with the right balance of protein, carbohydrate and fat so that you are left feeling fully nourished from the inside out.

Do I get the recipes that we make in class?
You will receive the recipes via email the day after your cooking class. We encourage our students to bring a notepad and pen to take any relevant notes during class. It is our mission to reduce the carbon footprint on our planet so we are always striving to find ways to help the environment.

How many classes should I take in order to improve my health and nutrition?
We always encourage newcomers to take at least 3 classes to start. Since we offer such a variety of classes it is often difficult for people to pick just one. There are different tips; recipes and concepts presented in all of our cooking classes. Taking more than one class will benefit you in many ways and you will start to build a healthy recipe database. People often get hooked on taking classes and opt to get 10 cooking classes to have on hand and have the option to share them with friends and family. Our classes never expire so this is the best way to get the most variety especially if you are looking to transform your lifestyle. Learn about our class packages here.

Will I loose weight from eating vegetarian?
We never focus on weight loss or calorie counting. But the good news is that by following a plant based and healthy lifestyle you will start to feel great and loose weight naturally. When you focus on eating well balanced and nutrient dense meals, your body is not deprived and it starts to function efficiently. Deprivation is not an option – we usually make a healthy inspired dessert at every cooking class and we even offer Better Baking, a cooking class that teaches you the alternatives to healthy and delicious baking.

Do I have to be a vegetarian to take a cooking class?
The majority of our students are not vegetarian but are looking to increase their health and nutrition through clean, easy recipes. Everybody eats vegetables so it can’t hurt to add more veggie dishes to your diet.

Can I organize my own private cooking classes?
Absolutely! We understand that our existing classes may not fit in with your schedule but we encourage everyone to customize a cooking class for your family, friends, or coworkers. See what type of private cooking classes and parties we offer.
